What could be better than a powerful and capable ride? How about we add safety to the mix? That's exactly what you'll get from the 2018 Kia Sorento, with its 290 horsepower and towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. And now, you can add IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus. That's right, the Sorento has earned the highest safety rating available from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
In order to earn the Top Safety Pick Plus rating, the Sorento needed to earn a rating of "good" in five crashworthiness tests, a rating of "advanced" or "superior" in front crash prevention, and a rating of "acceptable" or "good" for headlights. And it did just that.
The Sorento is prepared to both prevent accidents and protect if one happens. Using technology like Autonomous Emergency Braking, blind spot detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, the Sorento puts an extra set of eyes on the road to warn you of danger. Six standard airbags and a high strength steel chassis will jump to your defense in the event of an accident.
