We are here to discuss the differences between the Kia Seltos and the Kia Carnival for 2023. Both these cars are great, but there are some differences that may help you decide which is the best.
Let us start by first comparing the prices of the two cars and their different trims.Â
The Seltos comes in 6 different models -- the LX FWD starts at $23,695, the LX starts at $25,695, the EX FWD starts at $25,995, the EX starts at $28,295, the EX Premium starts at $31,595, and the SX Turbo starts at $33,695.Â
The Carnival comes in 5 different models -- the LX starts at $35,795, the LX+ starts at $39,295, the EX starts at $43,295, the EX+ starts at $46,595, and the SX starts at $49,595.Â
As you can see, the Carnival is costlier than the Seltos, with even its base trim starting at a higher price than the top trim of the Seltos.Â
Moving on to the design of the cars, the Seltos has a standard length of 172 inches for all the trims. The height for the Seltos is 64.1 inches for all of the models except the LX FWD, which has a height of 63.9 in. All of the Seltos trims come with alloy wheels, automatic headlights, LED headlights and taillights, heated side mirrors, splash guards, a sunroof, roof rails, tinted rear glass, and more.Â
It comes with SOFINO leather seats, a heated and leather-covered steering wheel, heated and adjustable seats, a rear center armrest, USB and charging ports, a 12 V power outlet, keyless entry with a push-button start, cruise control, and climate control, as well as an 8'' display audio with six speakers.Â
For the Carnival, all of its trims are 202.9 inches long and 69.9 inches tall, except the LX, which has a height of 68.5 inches. Inside, the Carnival contains an acoustic laminated windshield, a temporary spare tire, high beam assist, side mirror signal repeater, automatic power folding side mirrors, and more.Â
It has removable second-row seating, leather-covered and heated seats, a heated steering wheel, 3rd-row fold-in floor seats, driver seat's lumbar support, hydrographic dashboards, a wireless phone charger, advanced cruise control, sliding doors, a smart power liftgate, obstacle detecting windows, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and much more.
Looking under the hood, the Seltos has a 2.0 L MPI engine that provides 146 hp, a torque of 132 ft-lb, and a compression ratio of 12.5. Meanwhile, the Carnival has a 3.5L V6 GDI + MPI that provides 290 hp, a torque of 262 ft-lb, and a compression rate of 12.3.
