The future of truck-based SUVs is now. For years, automakers have been releasing truck-based SUV models that blur the line between the two segments. Trucks with enough practicality to be around every day but just enough SUV features to make them desirable. In this post, we’ll check out the newest entries in the segment: the Telluride and Palisade.
The Telluride's engine is a 3.8L V6 with 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. It's mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with FWD or AWD options. The Palisade's engine is also a 3.8L V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft torque. It's also mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with FWD or AWD options.
The Palisade offers power-adjustable lumbar support, while the Telluride has manual adjusters. Both vehicles also have ample headroom for tall passengers in the back seats, but they differ in legroom. The 2022 Kia Telluride offers more legroom than the Palisade. The Palisade's rear seats also recline farther than those in the Telluride.
The new 2022 Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride have a great set of safety features, but they differ in implementation and effectiveness.
For starters, both vehicles have a crash avoidance system. The crash avoidance system is designed to detect objects or other vehicles on the road and can take action to prevent an accident. In addition, both vehicles have forward-collision warning systems that sound an alarm when the vehicle gets too close to another vehicle or object in front of it. This helps alert drivers of potential danger before it becomes an issue.
Both vehicles also have blind-spot monitoring systems that alert drivers when there are cars near them in their blind-spot so they can avoid hitting them by changing lanes if necessary. Both cars also come with rear cross-traffic alert systems, which alert drivers when cars are coming from behind them while they're backing up to avoid hitting anyone. Lastly, both vehicles come with parking assist systems that help drivers navigate parking lots without hitting other cars or objects around them.
These vehicles have amazing exteriors and interiors that’ll keep your family safe and secure while on the road. They both feature seats designed to provide ample support for long trips.
The Palisade has a longer wheelbase than its competitor, which means it has more interior space for passengers and cargo alike. It also comes with standard Apple CarPlay compatibility and an optional 4G Wi-Fi hotspot. If you're looking for an SUV that can seat more people or carry larger items in its back seat, this might be an important consideration.
The Telluride and Palisade are great choices if you're interested in a new luxury SUV. Both cars have excellent interiors, spacious luggage areas, and cutting-edge driver assistance technology. At first glance, one might assume the Palisade and Telluride are the same cars with different badges. However, when closely examining the two models, there may be some differences worth considering when choosing between the two.
