Performance and Driveability
The 2023 Kia Soul comes with a 2.0L engine, with four valves per cylinder and D-CVVT (Dual Cam Variable Valve Timing). This engine is standard to all trims, as well as the Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), 147 hp, and torque capacity of 196 kg/m. As for fuel efficiency, all trims come with a Multi Point Injection (MPI) fuel system. This system makes 8.5L/100km in the city and 7.0L/100km on the highway.Interior and Exterior Details
The new lineup is as comfortable as its tradition demands. There’s high-end cloth upholstery available on all trims and heated front seats. The steering wheel can also be heated and covered in leather. Rear seats count on a center armrest and power windows. Rear seats are also foldable for increased storage space.The new Kia Soul is as roomy as its predecessors: it’s 4.19m long, 1.8m wide, and 1.6m high. Passengers can count on 1.013m of headroom and legroom of 1.04m in the front seats; the back seats have 1.003m of headroom and legroom of 0.95m.
Tech & Safety
The new Kia Soul’s tech and safety features are common to all its trims. Regardless of your choice, you’ll be treated with a six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, there’s a 4.2” LCD instrument cluster, USB audio and charging input, and remote keyless entry.The most notable features are saved for the flagship model: the EX Premium. These include dual-zone climate control, a 10.25” touchscreen display with navigation, an auto-dimming mirror, and ambient mood lighting.
The safety features and driving assists don’t disappoint, either. There are six airbags, an immobilizer, ESC (electronic stability control), and an ABS system. As for driving assists, there’s hill-assist control, DDA (driver attention alert), lane follow assist, blindspot and tire monitoring, rearview camera, and more.
