Kia Soul 2022 is a car that draws attention by its appearance. It sees few changes for the 2022 Kia Soul models. Like the other Kia’s, a new, futuristic logo replaced the old logo. Moreover, you can choose to equip the LX model with a technology package that includes automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, and blind-spot monitoring.

The New 2022 Kia Soul Models Highlights

As standard equipment, all S, X-Line, and GT-Line 2022 Kia Soul models have dual-zone automatic control, push-button start, wireless smartphone charging, and two more USB ports. There is no longer a manual transmission for any model.

Engine

There is only one engine available in the Soul from Kia. The 147 horsepower of the engine is generated by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The CVT automatically selects a lower gear ratio when passing someone.

Fuel Economy

It is important to note that the 2022 Kia Soul models have an EPA rating of up to 35 mpg when driving on the highway and 27 mpg when driving in the city, which isn't bad for a seemingly non-aerodynamic car. Kia's primary competitors, the Hyundai Venue and Nissan Kicks achieve similar highway mileage, but both are doing a little better in the city with 30 and 31 mpg.

Infotainment and Connectivity

All 2022 Kia Soul models have an infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The LX gets an 8.0-inch screen, while other models have a 10.3-inch screen.

When you choose a model with a 10.3-inch screen, you will enjoy real-time traffic updates, SiriusXM satellite radio, in-dash navigation, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. Models come from the factory with a six-speaker stereo.

Kia Soul 2022: safety and driver assistance features

Not all the Kia Soul models do not include driver assistance technology, except for the S model who does. Safety features include:

Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking are available.
Lane-keeping assistance and lane departure warning are available.
The adaptive cruise control (ACC) is also available.
