A few subtle changes for the 2019 model year make the Kia Optima safer, more fun to drive and even better looking than last years model. New LED running lights, and an updated front fascia lead the way on the exterior. Safety-wise, every 2019 Optima now come standard with Lane-departure Warning, automated emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist. The 2019 Optima also gets Kia's latest UVO infotainment software.
An aerodynamically shaped body, elegant grille, and modern LED lighting make this year's Optima look more like a sporty luxury import than a practical sedan. Equipped with the available rear spoiler, dual exhaust, and 18" machined-finish alloy wheels with red callipers, the 2019 Optima becomes the sportiest sedan on the market today.
Sporty on the outside and comfortable on the inside, every 2019 Kia Optima comes standard with Heated Front Seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and all but the LX trim gets a heated steering wheel (a definite plus during our cold Canadian winters). Standard tech on this year's Optima includes an eight-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration.
A choice of two - trim-specific - engines power this year's Optima. The LX, LX+, EX, and EX Tech trims get an inline 2.4L, GDI, 4-cylinder engine while the SX Turbo and SXL Turbo get a turbocharged 2.0L, T-GDI, 4-cylinder. All 2019 Optima's feature a 6-speed Sportmatic automatic transmission. The standard four-cylinder gets 9.5/7.1 L/100km while the turbocharged version gets 11.2/7.9 L/100km (Highway/City), L/100km.

Kia went all out to make this year's Optima the safest vehicle on the road today.
